DVD Review: Skyfall
By Kerryn Ramm This week saw the release of the latest Bond film, Skyfall to DVD and Blu-ray. After failing to see the film when it was showing in cinema, I grabbed myself a copy and curled up on the sofa with a bucket of popcorn.

A Picnic in Limbo
by Damien Fowler The second half of the collaboration from yesterday’s exhibition ‘A Picnic in Limbo’ was a series of paintings which helped emphasize the music from Jordie Sunshine’s musical third year project Dandelion Tea. The artwork was an inspiring collective by two Coventry University artists, namely Mircea Telegea and Robert Czerniawski who’s separate use [...]

Sunshine releases album
by Damien Fowler Coventry University’s own Jordie Sunshine of Dandelion Tea has just debuted his first official studio album A Picnic in Limbo. The album offers a well varied mix of luscious soundscapes that echoes an earthly ambience of visions of desolate landscapes and a beautiful warm tropical paradise. In creating this juxtaposed balance [...]

Review – Midnight FM
By Antoniya Petkova A hundred and six minutes of genre elements, adrenaline and suspense is what the average thriller fan can indulge in in the South Korean ‘Midnight FM’. Kim Sang-Man delivers a well thought-out critique on some of the more serious issues of society, masking it as a Hollywood-style action and suspense thriller, which [...]
CUEAFS Review, Wind Blast
By Antoniya Petkova ‘Wind Blast’ is an obvious Western homage, overflowing with bullets, blood, car crashes and explosives. Gao Qunshu’s individual effort in film-making perfectly showcases the knowledge of how to create visual brilliance, as evident in his previous ‘The Message’, but has more plot holes than could be acceptable when it comes to Gao’s [...]
CUEAFS Review, A Little Thing Called Love
By Antoniya Petkova Sweet nostalgic memories and heart-warming romance is what ‘A Little Thing Called Love’ is all about. With an abundance of cheesiness and sugary romance, the Thai high-school story wins over the dormant hopeful romantics in the audience and manages to stay away from the Hollywood rail of predictability and over-worn lucky coincidences. [...]
CUEAFS Review, Haunters
By Antoniya Petkova Director Kim Min-suk delivers an action-packed high-speed male-centric film, following a genre pattern, well-established in recent South Korean cinema. And if the male duo dynamics were not exhausted with ‘The Chaser’, ‘Running Turtle’, ‘Secret Reunion’, and ‘The Man from Nowhere’, now comes a supernatural story about extraordinary abilities that strike a battle [...]
CUEAFS Review, The Stool Pigeon
By Antoniya Petkova Dante Lam has recently established himself as the provider of high-speed action-packed emotionally-dark police dramas, where the world is always morally ambiguous, utterly flawed and the line between right and wrong is diluted. Another of this successful chain of films is his latest ‘The Stool Pigeon’, where Lam has surrounded himself with [...]
CUEAFS Review, Cyrano Agency
By Antoniya Petkova Cyrano is not the typical dating agency where loveless hopefuls eventually arrive in a heart-motivated quest to conquer an object of their affection. The agency’s 99% success rate is ensured by the scripting skills of the theatre troop behind which takes care of the seemingly coincidental situations and every little detail in [...]
