Jordie Sunshine on A Picnic in Limbo

In celebrating Jordie’s third year final project in Music Composition, an exhibition collaborating his musical talent alongside artists of the university is today being held in the Herbert Gallery at Coventry University.
His contribution to this collaboration comes from debuting music from his first official album from his project ‘Dandelion Tea’, an album that has been themed around the artwork at the exhibition.
‘The concept is themed around dark and light and being stuck in the middle, like the limbo between good and evil. I wanted the music in the exhibition to be panned either side of the room, this is because one side of the exhibition shows paintings of a happier and brighter atmosphere, the other side is darker and more bleak.’
The album was always going to be written prior to collaborating for the exhibition and combining music to different paintings is something Jordie is looking forward to doing again in the future.
The exhibition is on today between 10am and 4pm on the first floor of the Herbert Gallery.
