A Picnic in Limbo

by Damien Fowler

The second half of the collaboration from yesterday’s exhibition ‘A Picnic in Limbo’ was a series of paintings which helped emphasize the music from Jordie Sunshine’s musical third year project Dandelion Tea.

The artwork was an inspiring collective by two Coventry University artists, namely Mircea Telegea and Robert Czerniawski who’s separate use of both distinct bright colours and dark landscapes, gave the perfect and almost ‘cinematic‘ setting to the A picnic in Limbo’s music, that was being piped into this dreamy exhibition.

As they are all third year final projects, the originality of the combination and beautifully coincidental balance of darkness and light or good and evil come together extraordinarily, making a clear example of the title of this exhibition.

The audience is drawn into a world of paintings of darkness and music of light and left feeling totally in limbo.
