Chelsea to Face Barcelona, While Champions Real Madrid Take on in-form PSG

Antonio Conte’s side, who finished as the runners-up in their Group will face Barcelona for the sixth time in the knockout stages of Champions League competition.

Chelsea won the Champions League back in the 2011-12 season while Barcelona are chasing their first European title since 2015, with their rivals Real Madrid the current holders of the cup.

Tottenham will visit Serie A league title-holders and last season’s finalists Juventus in their first leg of last-16 clash. Having the advantage of the second leg at home after topping their group with five wins from six games, a group which also contained the current champions Madrid.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will face Swiss side FC Basel as Pep Guardiola bids for a third Champions League win as a manager and the clubs’ first.

Manchester United have been drawn against Sevilla for their last-16 tie with Jose Mourinho looking to improve upon his side’s recent record against Spanish teams, with only two wins coming in their last ten games played against them.

Elsewhere, Liverpool will need to strive to beat previous two-time winners FC Porto in their never ending quest to replicate the magic they showed during their 2004-05 winng season.

Defending Champions League winners Real Madrid meet the in-form Paris Saint-Germain in what is sure to be another standout encounter, with the Spanish champions fighting to become the only team in over 40 years to win three consecutive European championships since Bayern Munich back in 1975-76.

The remaining last 16 fixtures are Bayern Munich against Besiktas and Shakhtar Donetsk versus Roma.
