Coventry lies on the outskirts of the proposed rail link and in order to make sure the city gets the best from HS2, Coventry City Council have planned to object to some of the proposals. HS2 is also set to cause a huge problem for rural towns along its route, with one village in Warwickshire saying that they are ‘Britain’s most blighted village.’ Below is a timeline showing the developments of HS2 up until its completion and how Coventry may be affected.
