Coventry’s Winter Night Shelter opened their doors again by providing shelter and food for homeless people in Coventry. Their aim is simple to ‘provide rough sleepers with support, a hot meal, and a safe and warm bed for the night.’

Liaising with Coventry City Council and The Salvation Army, seven churches within the city have joined this annual mission. As well as accommodating those in need over the winter periods (December 1st – 31st March), they bring members of the community together by asking for volunteers! Together, they ‘serve a hot evening meal and a light breakfast’, becoming a ‘dormitory for up to twenty people, sleeping on camp beds’.

As they get prepared for busy nights, it’s lovely to see Coventry embracing the Christmas spirit. For further information, check out their Facebook page here.
