The Cathedral When you go to the city centre it is impossible not notice the impressive Coventry Cathedral. It is one of the most beautiful buildings and it’s open daily to the visiting public. The Cathedral offers different attractions including climb the Cathedral Tower for the best view in Coventry. This experience costs only £2.50 there are discounts for students and it’s definitely worth every penny. Concerts and events are often organized on this place and you can buy tickets from the Cathedral’s gift shop. Kebab Rush You could well miss this hidden gem of an eatery. Kebab Rush is on Broad Street, above it’s bigger sister, Pizza Rush. Famed for their kebabs and wraps, if you prefer to eat at home, Kebab Rush delivers food directly to your door. And the best thing is that Kebab Rush is open Sunday to Wednesday until 1.30am and until and until 4am, Thursday to Saturday. Transport Museum The most popular sight in Coventry is The Transport Museum and it’s not by accident. It is situated right in the heart of the city. This museum owns the largest collection of British vehicles in the world. And it’s not necessary to be a transport enthusiast to be impressed by it. Coventry Transport Museum offers a uniquely human perspective on the city’s motoring heritage and is one of the Midland’s best days out. You can book a guided tour which costs just £5 per person and lasts for about an hour, after which you can relax with coffee and cake in the Museum café. Quids Inn As a student city, Coventry is popular with its pubs and clubs which are very visited by many young people. One of the best places there definitely is a bar, called Quids Inn. It’s near Coventry University and offers different drinks and tasty food at reasonable prices as well as pool tables. Creams Last summer was opened a new ice cream and dessert café in Coventry which is one of the fanciest ones. It offers many mouth-watering desserts like waffles, pancakes and all kinds of cakes. You can also try some of the creaming milkshakes which could be many and different flavors like Oreo, After Eight, Ferrero Roche etc. One more advantage of Creams is that it’s next to Swanswell Park, so you can sit and eat al fresco if that’s what takes your fancy.
