Katy Perry ‘Dark Horse’ video accused of being ‘blasphemous’ has been edited

Katy Perry’s new video release created a huge up roar amongst the muslim community claiming the video to be ‘blasphemous’.  Shazad Iqbal from Bradford started an online petition commenting the video is ‘highly controversial to its viewers as a result of its portrayal of blasphem’. It  has more than 65,ooo signitures from people in Britain, Egyt and Saudi Arabia.

katy-perry-dark-horse-v2The video showing a pendant with the Arabic word for God which gets burnt into sand was now been edited, removing the pendant from the clip. The instigator of the petition wrote ‘guys I’m thrilled to let you all know the name of Allah has been removed from the ‘Dark Horse’ video’.

The youtube video now has more than 38,417,697 hits.
