MALAGA: British tourists in Torremolinos on Brexit

On 23th June, British voters will decide whether they believe the UK should remain in the European Union or if they should leave, coming following a campaign promise from David Cameron to hold an early referendum should the Conservatives win the 2015 general election.

The issues at play have affected not only people living in Britain, but the 760,000 British residents who have made Spain their home.

Located on the western shore of the Bay of Malaga, Torremolinos is frequently visited by British tourists, with a large British expatriate population.

The views of British expats on the Costa vary widely – from those who think it will affect health care, pensions and work permits, to those who believe Brexit won’t make any difference or have any impact on them.
