The investigation, which started last year December, will not be taken any further according to Warwickshire police.

Coventry Bees, who are a motorcycle speedway team, had a police investigation started looking into the alleged criminal damage at the Brandon Stadium after police were called in. It is said former owner Avtar Sandhu removed £150,000 to £200,00 worth of fixture equipment, such as:

· Floodlights

· Seats

· Track Shale

· Fences

Even though the investigation has come to an end, it is said that the stadiums new owner Brandon Estates, may be looking to take up civil action against Avtar Sandhu.

The Warwickshire police left a statement on the investigation stating: “Warwickshire Police has concluded its investigation into the allegations of theft and criminal damage at Brandon Stadium. This was a complex investigation, which required the review of a significant amount of material. One individual was spoken to on a voluntary basis but no further action will be taken. There is no evidence to suggest a criminal offence has taken place.”

Even though the new owners insisted previously that there wouldn’t be a return to venue, hopefully with the police investigation being over, it could provide support for the campaigners working to get the Bees back on track (no pun intended) after they were forced to drop out their season.
