HomeNEWSLOCALStudent holds fashion show at Kasbah March 19, 2015 LOCAL By Zara Flynn The catwalk finale Coventry University student Katie Eaves held a pre-collection catwalk at Kasbah nightclub on Monday 9 March to raise money for her end-of-year show. The collection showed Katie’s own designs along with her fellow classmates. The 3rd year students have created a denim and khaki filled collection along with long flowing dresses and lots of tassels for the festival season. Katie organised the event on a tight schedule. She said: “It was just after Christmas that I decided I was going to do the event. Everyone helped out and threw their opinions in.” As well as the catwalk show, the students raised money by selling their own designed accessories at a stall and holding a £1 raffle. The nightclub-turned-catwalk sold around 130 tickets which made for a full audience. Katie said: “I didn’t expect it to be this busy, but it turned out well.” The event raised over £500. The end-of-year show will be held in late May.
