Johann Ofner, a stunt double was filming a music video for Australian hip-hop group, Bliss N Eso and their new track – Friend Like You. The man in his 20’s was shot in the chest at CBD bar Brooklyn Standard, prior to 2pm.

Police and paramedics were immediately called to the scene and the film crew started to perform CPR on him. Unfortunately, he died at the scene and could not be saved.

He was set to feature in a Channel 9 TV show – Australian Ninja Warrior.

Police are currently investigating how the accident happened, however it was understood that the prop gun that was fired was actually a double-barreled shotgun.

Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said that several firearms were found inside the Brooklyn Standard on arrival. He also said that “the band were not on site at the time. The video production crew and our team are currently working with the police in their investigation and we are unable to provide further comment at this time.”

The bar will be closed tonight while investigating. Fortunately no one else was injured.

A construction worker on the floor above, Blake Shaw has said that he heard loud bangs around 2pm. “There was like three gunshots and then about five minutes all the cops came”. He witnessed the bloody body through a small crack in the floor.
