Swindon Town LFC vs Coventry United LFC – Match Preview

Coventry Ladies play Swindon Town on Sunday in the return fixture of the game that produced a tight 2-1 victory for Coventry when the two teams first met in October.

The game at Coleshill Town kicks off at 2PM and Coventry boss Jay Bradford says she is confident of a sixth win in a row for her side.

“We feel confident going into each and every game. Swindon gave us a tough battle when they visited our ground so we need to be ready for them.”

The team are second in the league behind leaders Tottenham and have scored 37 goals this season so far in just ten games – the highest total.

“I’m not surprised that we are the top scorers in the league, as we have goals coming from all aspects of our team and we create plenty of chances,” says Bradford. “We have the quality to turn those chances into goals.”

Swindon are second bottom, having only won two of their 13 games this season. Coventry, meanwhile, have only lost one and have not conceded any in their past five games.

Bradford thinks her team have a chance to challenge league leaders Tottenham for the title: “We are confident that we can push Tottenham all the way. In our league anyone can take points from anyone so we will have to be on top form every week.”
