Kasbah, or nicknamed ‘The Colly’ after its former name ‘The Colosseum’, is situated on Primrose Hill Street, Coventry, and is a popular venue among students and locals alike. Entry is usually around £5, possibly more if there is a live act on that night. Kasbah is over 18’s only, with ID required to enter. The venue is always busy, there never seems to be a night where the main dance floor is even near empty.

Kasbah appeals to many a music taste, having played host to countless well-known and sought-after music acts such as Arctic Monkeys, Enter Shikari, Grand Master Flash and many more. Kasbah frequently acts as a platform to boost the names of local and unsigned artists and bands, providing them with a stage to introduce what the have to offer to wider audiences that they may not have reached before.

The Main Room, Left Wing, Side Room and Globe Bar are the different areas of Kasbah, as well as an enormous Beer Garden and bar, which acts as a communal smoking area. The Main Room contains the largest stage within Kasbah, so naturally is where the live acts are featured.

Kasbah also hosts regular weekly club nights, such as Poptastic Mondays, Kinky Fridays, and Tricky Disco Saturdays, with the music following suit of the theme.

Kasbah plays music from almost ever genre, you just have to find the right room for you! Over the week Kasbah has Chart Music, R’n’B, Dance, Classics, Live Music, Disco, House, Indie, Rock, Alternative and many other genres playing in the different rooms of the venue.

On Mondays, you will find Chart, R’n’B, Dance and ‘Poptastic Classics in the Main Room, Up and Coming Live Music followed by Alternative Disco in the Left Wing, and Funky House in the Globe Bar.

Fridays boast a mix of Party, Chart and dance in the Main Room, Live Music with Indie, Alternative and Rock to follow in the Side Room, and the Globe Bar playing Funky House.

Saturdays play Indie-Punk, Disco-Funk, and dance Beats in the Main Room, Commercial, Party and R’n’B in the Globe Bar, and Live Music that could be anything from Deep Dubstep to Indie, as well as Rock & Roll in the Left Wing.
