HomeNEWSGENERALThe International Coventry Film Festival Makes its Return for the 4th Time November 16, 2017 GENERAL The 10th and 11th of November marked the running of the 4th International Coventry Film Festival. Over the two days, film makers from around the world showcased their film to audiences and other film makers alike, receiving recognition and feedback from all. (Interviewees in order of appearance: Christopher Clarke – Festival Director, Svend Colding – Film Maker of The Farewell, Marilena Parouti – Film Producer of Waking David and Shane Bruce – Actress from Waking David) Having set the film festival up four years ago, after not being accepted by other film festivals for films that he was making, Christopher Clarke (festival director) created the International Coventry Film Festival and intends to see it grow further as time progresses. An award ‘The Driver Award’ is given out to the best films shown in the festival in the categories of “Best Short Film, Best Performance in a Short Film, Best Feature Film and Best Performance in a Feature Film”. Comprising entirely of independent films, it allows independent film makers the opportunity to show off their work and get feedback about it, gauging whether there is an audience for the content they are producing. The festival is currently accepting submissions for next year, so for more information and to submit your film for the International Coventry Film Festival 2018, visit their website at http://coventryfilmfestival.com/ – Megan Rhodes Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window) Related Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
